$700 to put a phone in my own name after over 6 years being a customer

Problem is: I was told I needed a $700 security deposit to have a phone put in my name. This was due to a mix up in communicating with TransUnion. That is ridiculous. With the new CRTC laws now in effect, GOODBYE MTS. Was a loyal customer for over 6 years, and you want to charge me 7 times the amount it would cost to buy out my contract, just to put a phone in my name? $700 to continue being your customer? No thanks.

Hi Duncan,
We're sorry to hear you're thinking about leaving. Like Clifford said, we could take another look at your file if you would like. Just send us your phone number to Community@mts.ca and we can definitely look into this.
