$700 to put a phone in my own name after over 6 years being a customer

Problem is: I was told I needed a $700 security deposit to have a phone put in my name. This was due to a mix up in communicating with TransUnion. That is ridiculous. With the new CRTC laws now in effect, GOODBYE MTS. Was a loyal customer for over 6 years, and you want to charge me 7 times the amount it would cost to buy out my contract, just to put a phone in my name? $700 to continue being your customer? No thanks.
